The Bar at Browns Bristol is superb! It’s huge, gleaming and very well stocked. Amply staffed by knowledgeable barmen. Fantastic choice of top quality cocktails, particular favorites being the Browns Champagne Cocktail, Mojito, Bramble, After Dinner Cocktail and Brandy Alexander. There are plenty of different places to sit, high, low, cubby, relaxed etc and they play good music, good place to chill out.
Snacks and tapas available in the bar are good, we like the seafood antipasti plate and crab ciabatta to nibble on with a cocktail or two!
The restaurant is a bit hustle bustle mostly because of the sheer size of the dining room (was the canteen for the university) the high ceilings and fast and furious turnaround of people, but having said that it is perfectly possible to have a pleasant meal and there is lots of choice and always specials on the boards.
