The accommodation above the restaurant was superb. We had a room with a sea view an enormous decked balcony with stylish loungers and table and chairs. The interior was crisp and modern but still Cornish with jaunty cotton stripped material, and some lovely big antique pieces of furniture. There was a  well stocked mini bar.

The bathroom was exceptional, we definitely got that ever elusive ‘we’ve arrived’ feeling! Down in the restaurant itself it disappointingly had a canteen atmosphere i.e. too bright and too noisy, the lobster was also disappointing and chewy. We have had better Lobster in several other restaurants in Cornwall. The large dining room with lofty ceilings is far more suited to breakfasts when noise levels are usually more subdued, and in the daylight you can appreciate the  lovely bright artworks on the walls. The breakfast menu was extensive and could not fault the quality here.

I remember the chocolate torte being good… But then, it usually is! :)

Over priced, over rated and scruffy, if you had an image upload facility I’d a few snap shots of the fantastic view of the busy smelly car park from this over priced fish chip shop.

  3. I will admit it was around three years ago when I went to here but the food was great and the service was very good with friendly staff.
